Welcome to my classroom!

My classroom is a fun and interactive place where students can learn constantly.  Posters, bulletin boards, and other such things remind students of things from their Christian value to parts of speech, to our words of weeks past.  In class I like to play games and do activities that allow students to practice what we are learning.  It is my hope that all students feel safe and at home in my classroom.

My classroom is also home to several pets.  Two female baby gerbils, Squiggles and Nibbles, share a cage just inside the door, and can often be heard chewing, running, and digging.  They also spend much of their time burrowed in their bedding, sleeping together.  There is also a freshwater fish tank in the back of the room that is currently home to five fish.  They are fun to watch as there are many things for them to hide in and explore.

About me
My vow to you:

I am fully devoted to each of my students.  I will support them to the best of my abiliities and teach them ways in which they can be successful contributors to our world.  I will love them and treat them as the children of God that they truly are.

Here's a little bit about me:

I am 23 years old and from Grand Rapids, Michigan.  I currently live in Dyer, Indiana with my grandma.  I have two great parents in Michigan, an older sister and brother-in-law on the north side of Chicago, and a little sister in Michigan.  I love my family very much and they have played a huge role in who I am today.

I went to Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL where I graduated in 2016 with a double major in elementary education and special education.

Teaching is my joy.  I love being able to work with children every day to help them grow into amazing adults.  I believe in helping to make each child feel special and important everyday, despite their challenges.  My mission in life is to positively impact those around me, especially the younger generations, by loving them and encouraging them in Christ and I believe that through teaching, I can do this.
